Study Visit at WSB University, Dąbrowa Górnicza (Poland)
An inspection visit was conducted at WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland, on September 10, 2025. The main purpose of the visit was to assess the level of preparedness and resilience of higher education institutions in the context of potential CBRNE threats. The evaluation focused on compliance with national and international standards, as well as on the effectiveness of existing crisis management protocols.
During the visit, particular attention was given to identifying both the strengths and weaknesses of the university’s security systems. The assessment included an analysis of the building’s structure and location, the qualifications and performance of security staff, the quality of surveillance systems, and the overall behavior and awareness of students and personnel in emergency situations.
The inspection also aimed to verify the institution’s procedures and staff training in relation to the detection, prevention, and response to CBRNE incidents. This included a review of preparedness levels and institutional response mechanisms. The visit concluded with a comprehensive report that included an analysis of gaps, areas of non-compliance, and specific recommendations for corrective actions based on identified risks.
