Participation in the “Innovations in Accident Response” Conference in Stryków (Poland)

On October 17–18, 2025, a representative of the UNICOPS project, Lesław Górniak, participated in the conference “Innovations in Accident Response”, held in Stryków near Łódź, Poland. The event gathered experts and practitioners involved in emergency management, crisis response, and rescue operations, providing a valuable platform for the exchange of experience and discussion of innovative approaches in the field.

During the conference, participants addressed a wide range of topics related to rescue operations and emergency response. Special attention was devoted to issues associated with CBRN incidents, including the importance of maintaining discipline within the hot zone, appropriate behavior in the event of structural collapse, and the feasibility of performing specific life-saving actions by non-medical personnel. Other sessions examined the procedures for transporting contaminated or potentially contaminated casualties and explored how selected principles of battlefield medicine could be adapted to CBRN-related emergencies.

Engaging in these discussions offered an opportunity to confront the practical experiences of rescuers with the methodological approach developed within the UNICOPS project. This exchange of perspectives is expected to provide the consortium with valuable insights, contributing to a more practical and applicable framework for the project’s final outcomes.
