End-Users' Workshop Held in Lodz, Poland
The UNICOPS consortium recently gathered in Lodz, Poland, for the WP2 End-Users’ Workshop, organized by ISEM Institute. This important milestone brought together project partners to present and discuss comprehensive findings from the detailed assessment of end-users’ current security practices, identifying gaps, needs, and good practices across European higher education institutions.
The workshop highlighted outcomes from extensive research activities, including desk research, survey research, and inspection visits, as well as the analysis of safety and security laws and regulations. All task leaders within WP2 have contributed significant work toward understanding what currently works in academic security, what is missing, and how we can practically enhance the safety of higher education environments while maintaining their open nature.
The outcomes presented during this workshop provide a crucial foundation for future implementation of tasks within WP3 (Development of the CBRNe protection system supporting safety and open nature of Higher Education Institutions), WP4 (Training and piloting system), and WP5 (Dissemination and mainstreaming). This collaborative effort ensures that UNICOPS delivers practical, evidence-based solutions tailored to the real needs of academic communities across Europe.
